WEBINTERSTATE INC. AT NAPXP CONVENTION 2010

October 29, 2010

Las Vegas, NV- The 2010 NAPXP (National Association of Portable X-Ray Providers) Annual Convention was held earlier this month. One of the exhibitors, WebInterstate Inc. a company that provides web-based applications and services for the healthcare industry, shared several exciting announcements directly affecting the mobile healthcare industry.

This event is held for members every year to discuss current and future changes concerning the portable industry as well as gives an opportunity for vendors to showcase new products, technologies and developments. WebInterstate Inc. announced exciting future developments and integration projects for their main software application, MediMatrix. These projects consisted of:

  • GPS Integration- WebInterstate developed a general "order export" web service which would provide GPS vendors a real time feed of order information to eliminate data entry for the provider.
  • Batch Insurance verification- The company has been working with a clearinghouse to determine if batch verification would be a viable project. This would allow providers to submit batches of patients for verification instead of individually saving time and money.
  • Radiology Group Integration- They announced that as of recent, the company has integrated successfully with numerous radiology groups that can cover providers from coast to coast. Some of these groups are ISO certified. Most are available 24/7/365 and can read a variety of exam types, giving the provider leverage to integrate with the group of their choice.
  • Streamlined Radiology System- Also announced was a plan on delivering a higher end RIS/Viewing system that radiology groups could use on a fee based service by end of 2010. This would give providers the capability to send more modality types through MediMatrix as well as easier integration with radiology groups using the new system.
  • EMR Integration- There has been buzz around this topic and WebInterstate announced they had successfully completed an EMR integration project and were sending patient reports to the Rochester RHIO (a secure electronic health information exchange) in NY. Their framework is being extended to allow EMR vendors access to subscribe to data for a nominal support fee. They also have plans to integrate and stream live HL7 feeds on a case-by-case basis.

WebInterstate Inc. is leading software provider of the portable provider industry and is based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. The company specializes in the development of web applications and services for the healthcare industry. Their flagship product MediMatrix is a practice management service designed for the portable x-ray industry.
