WEBINTERSTATE INC. AT NAPXP CONVENTION 2009

Las Vegas, NV- The 2009 NAPXP (National Association of Portable X-Ray Providers) Convention was held this past month. WebInterstate Inc., a vendor for and a sponsor of the event announced new strategies and technologies for the portable x-ray industry.

This event is held for members every year to discuss current and future changes concerning the portable x-ray industry as well as gives an opportunity for vendors to showcase new products, technologies and developments. Among the vendor participants was WebInterstate Inc., a company that provides web-based applications and services for the healthcare industry. At this year’s convention the company announced several enhancements to MediMatrix as well as industry partnerships that could deem beneficial to portable providers.

  • The first announcement the company made during their vendor presentation was the release of MediMatrix 8.4. This new version has over 40 enhancements many of which were contributed by customers and/or providers of the industry.
  • Also revealed were two unique long term storage options for portable companies. The first option provides users with a 7-year long term storage system that archives images, reports, and supplemental documentation in WebInterstate’s secure server room with 1-click retrieval directly into MediMatrix. The second option provides users with 7-year long term storage of data similar to the first option but also includes storage of data in a second separate location for redundancy, virtually eliminating the need for a PACs.
  • Finally, WebInterstate Inc. announced their long term strategy to integrate with multiple radiology groups. They have partnered with WebRadiology Services (webradiologyservices.com), a company that sources accredited radiology doctors and groups specifically for the portable industry, to expedite this vision. WebInterstate’s goal is to be able to provide customers a variety of qualified reading radiology options eliminating the reliance on one particular group or doctor.
